Yoga. Mindfulness. Music.

My name is Diane Simpson and I am a NY State Licensed Massage therapist. I attended The Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in 1999 and have been practicing ever since. I was the owner/operator of Chrysalis of Troy, a group healing practice, until 2009. I have since opened a home practice in Troy, NY and also work part time with Bodywork Professionals in Latham, NY. My bodywork/healing training is wide and varied and includes advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy including Craniosacral for Pediatrics with The Upledger Institute, The Milne Institute, and Turtleback Craniosacral Therapy. I have also trained in the following modalities: Myofascial Release and Mobilization, Process Acupressure, Anatomy Trains (Structural Integration), and Shiatsu.  I am currently pursuing certification with The Center for Self Leadership to become an Internal Family Systems Practitioner.

I am also a yoga teacher, certified through Yoga Vermont, since 2009. I currently teach at Heartspace Yoga and Healing Arts in downtown Troy. In addition to my 200 hour certification I am also certified in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Chakra Yoga. I have trained with Anodea Judith and Shiva Rea (flow yoga).

A little more about me: I believe that I can’t give you what I don’t already possess myself, which means I continue to work with a variety of healing modalities as well as creative therapies for my own benefit. My own health is a top priority in my life. I have a regular yoga and meditation practice and receive regular bodywork for my own mental/physical/spiritual wellness. My bodywork practice and yoga classes tend to focus on women and women’s healing issues. I have worked with a wide range of issues including fertility, pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, trauma, disease and illness, injury, and ongoing health and wellness. I work to help women integrate life and health changes as well as identifying barriers to living the life they want to live.
